Our First Creation

The Avon Fundraiser Flea Market Flip Contest began when my mom, dad, Trevor and Chrissy went to the Stormville Flea Market garage sale.  They came home with an overloaded car of items.  There was barely any room in the backseat for mom and Chrissy. 

 

 As soon as they unloaded the car, we began flipping!

Our first project we started on was our wooden crate coffee table.  We started off with four wooden crates we purchased for $1 each totaling $4.

We sanded the crates down and added some stain to make them look a little more elegant and match one another better.  Dad, our workshop expert, drilled them together and added a base and wooden furniture feet.  We decided that it would be best if it had a top of some sort so we found this board which may have been meant for a cabinet and some tiles from the Habitat for Humanity Refurb Store

 After a little stain to match and a strip of wood to divide the top into 4 sections for the tiles, we had our final product:
